Intense perfume and flavour cannot be reproduced. White truffles will grow in soil with a PH of 6.5-8.0. Compare the price of a truffle tree to a bay tree and then think ofthe price of just one truffle. Plus you get to eat the nuts and don't need a pig to find them!! Bianchetto truffles are fabulous in Italian Frittata's, mixed with mascarpone and spread onto bruschetta, and in pasta, risotto, polenta and to make truffle cream sauces. UK ONLY (NOT USA).
